Aditya Roy Kapoor has recently announced joining the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Thadam’. Now the news is that he has got his leading lady too. The kumkum bhagya fame Mrunal Thakur have join the team of the film. Having various remarkable characters to her name, this will be for the first time the actress will be seen playing a strong-headed cop. The film is based on true events, this is yet to be titled and directed by Vardhan Ketkar will go on the floor in October this year.
Talking about the film, Mrunal shares’ “When I heard the story of the film, I instantly knew that I needed to be a part of this film. My character is very intriguing and playing a cop has been on my checklist. This will be a very distinct role from all the characters I have played till now and I am looking forward to audiences watching this one.”
Also, the producer of the film Bhushan Kumar said, “When Murad and I were discussing the cop’s character, we instantly thought of Mrunal because she has done very good work in her past films, We also thought that she will be perfect for this character and we are glad that she is equally excited to join us.
And also the new joining of the film, co-producer Murad Khetani, “We wanted someone who has soft personality but could put on a strong fave when needed, During my discussion with Bhushan Ji, we instantly thought of Mrunal for the lead. When we approached her with this character, she was excited and quickly came on board. We are looking forward to working with her.”
The film will be directed by Vardhan Ketkar, and the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
