Rohit Shetty reacts on muslim narration on ‘Sooryavanshi’

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ earned an excellent response from the audience and critics. as it crosses the 150croces mark, the film starts with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles with Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgan cameo with their reprising role as Simmba’ and ‘Singham’ respectively. The filmmaker recently spoke about the storyline notion of ‘good Muslim, bad Muslim with respect to the film.


In an interview with the media, when asked about the narrative on Muslims the filmmaker said when he made a negative Hindu character no one questioned him. feather he added, “If I ask you one question, Jaykant Shikari was Hindu a Marathi, in this universe second a Hindu Godman was there, then in Simmba a Maharashtrian again. These three negative roles were Hindu. Why isn’t that a problem?”

Apart from that, when asked about pushing ‘Sooryavanshi’ for a theatre release and not on the OTT route, Rohit added that it was a long battle and wasn’t easy to hold back. Especially when one gets a good offer from OTT. He believes that Sooryavanshi is one such film that needed to be released in theatre.
